Spring is here, and so is Jon Gibbins

Our little collective has grown! Please give a warm welcome to interface developer and accessibility expert, Jon Gibbins.

Jon formerly ran the web consulting and development company, November 5th. After admiring his work for some time, we’ve finally managed to entice him in to the collective as our interface developer. He has a unique range of skills with expertise in a multitude of different technologies, including:

  • HTML, XHTML, XML
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • DOM Scripting (JavaScript)
  • PHP programming
  • MySQL database management system
  • Apache Web Server
  • ASP programming
  • CGI using PERL
  • Java and JSP

Jon also has a long–term commitment to Web accessibility. It is best demonstrated in his work, and his voluntary contributions to the Web Standards and accessibility community. He is an administrator of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers (GAWDS), as well as a moderator on Accessify Forum, possibly the best resource for discussion on all things Web accessibility related.

You can find out more via his profile or his personal blog, dotjay.co.uk.

Technically, we all think he’s brilliant and he’s a great person to boot. So welcome, Jon!
